New Beginners Sessions 2015

We held our first beginner's session on 7th May and are now heading into our 3rd week. Regrettably if you are a complete beginner, this Thursday (21st May) will be the last week we can accept new members due to the difficulties of keeping the group at an increasing pace. Though do not fear - we will have more beginner sessions starting soon.


We do still have spaces on the improver group and if you are already comfortable running between 1-3 miles or are returning from injury, please let us know and we may be able to squeeze you in.


We will be meeting at Deerleap car park (see here for a map of how to get there) at 19:00. If you can contact us beforehand to let us know you will be there we would appreciate it, and please let us know whether you are beginner or improver.


This year we have a complete beginner group and a separate improver group. Likely we will call you an Improver if you are already fairly comfortable covering a distance of around 3 miles at a trot even if it is slow.


Beginners will be those coming back after a long absence or those who have never tried running before, or coming back from injury who have not yet got themselves up to anywhere near a mile let alone 3.


Anyone who is safely covering 3-5 miles or more regularly or comfortably we are suggesting try the main club, and specifically some of the short speed sessions to start with (Check training schedule for the information). We can offer further guidance if you are uncertain.
