There was a very good turnout of 45 runners for Totton (25 men, 20 women). Congratulations to Barbara Bradley and Evie Lambert on completing their first RR10 for Totton.
Congratulations to Lyn Hatchett on completing 50 RR10s. Welcome back to Dave Lindsell who last ran an RR10 back in 2015.
I had thought race conditions might be ideal tonight - not too hot, too cold, too windy, too dry, too wet, zero pollen or dust but two hefty showers either side of five o'clock altered that perspective. Fortunately the rain held off during the race itself although it was only after it had finished that golden evening sunshine spread over the River Hamble. Still there were a large number of Totton runners who finished with the satisfied look of a race well run. There were plenty of strong finishes but I think the prize for the most determined goes to Jacquie Barlow and Denis Coady.
