To celebrate our 40 years as a running club we are holding a 10k Road Race, who knows if this year is a blast we could become a regular feature. So don't delay and sign up today!
The Course is two laps of 5k on roads with some undulation - don't be put off though as what goes up must come down and this course can be fast. The Race will be held in Copythorne just outside of our main base in Totton but very much still a part of our running community. The race itself is aiming to raise funds for the local community with the local parish church and Scout groups both benefitting.
Entry fee is £20/£18 Non Affiliated/affiliated - each runner will receive a finishers medal. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male and Female on the day.
Entry fee also covers - medical cover, toilets, parking and water stations.
The race will be officially measured and run under a UKA licence. Numbers are capped at 700 and all runners must be a minimum of 15 on race day. (Runners under 18 will need parental permission to participate).
We are a sustainable race and although water is provided on course and at the conclusion of the race we request all runners bring their own cup or bottle for water to save on waste.
Race HQ and race start / finish will be at Stanleys Own Scout HQ, parking will at HQ and various other sites advised nearer the time, although we highly recommend car sharing as much as possible as the space is limited.
As we are a new start up race we have a minimum number of entries we need to ensure we can put the event on. Should we not reach this the event will not be held and participants will be refunded their entry fee.
